Q: How do I book as a Delegate? What does the delegate fee include?
A: Simply email circusfuturesdelegates@gmail.com to book. The fee includes entry to Circus Futures for both days – so that is conference and showcases each day, plus transport to and from the shows, lunch both days, dinner in the evening of 30th November and refreshments during the daytime.
Q: Is there anything obvious it does not include?
A: Good question! Accommodation is not included. To ensure that Delegates have the opportunity to stay in the same location when they make their hotel bookings, a number of rooms have been reserved for Circus Futures Delegates at the IBIS. Delegates will also need to pay for transport to and from Bristol.
Q: What opportunities will there be for networking?
A: As well as the obvious tea and lunch breaks, there is a dinner in the evening and bus journeys around the city. In addition the Evening Reception on 29th November is an opportunity to meet artists and fellow delegates in an informal setting.
Q: How will the delegates know who is performing?
A: A full brochure will be available in advance in pdf format and each welcome pack will include a printed copy.
Q: What kind of performance work is considered?
A: The selection panel are experienced members of the Circus world. They will curate work that is contemporary, innovative and ready to be booked/ tour. The "open selection" process ensured that work of a variety of formats will be available for the producers to select from.
Q: Where will the showcases be held?
A: Each of the venues is located within Bristol.
Q: How do I get to Bristol?
Bristol has an airport and can be accessed directly from a number of European countries. Alternatively Heathrow, Stansted and Luton airports are relatively close with direct rail or bus links. Bristol Temple Meads is the mainline train station to Bristol. See.www.trainline.com for travel information by rail. Bristol is also well served by National Express coaches. Q: What happens after Circus Futures?
A: Circus Futures staff will be available to assist with any programming requirements.
Q: I would like to perform at the Circus Futures showcase, what do I do?
A: The deadline for applications was 2nd October – all applications were completed on-line. In excess of 65 companies applied.
Q: When will I know if I have been selected?
A: A list of artists selected has been announced. Each is being offered a specific producer and venue to work with. Each of the technical teams working with the producers is making contact to discuss requirements. Accommodation is being booked and a contract issued.
Q: How do I apply to have a 'Market Place' at the evening reception on 29th November?
